SCIENCE CLUB

2003-2004

 

The science club at Blessed Sacrament School meets during lunch recess three days a week.  Seventh grade club members meet in three different teams on these days.

         

 

                Monday:   WEATHER TEAM                         

            GOALS:  Organize the data from the weather station.  Mentor the student weather reporters from each grade.  Update two weather bulletin boards.  Sixth grade math classes will average the data for posting on boards.

 

              Tuesday:  VIQUARIUM TEAM 

            GOALS:   This team designed, constructed and care for the viquarium in the science lab.  They feed the anoles, fire belly frogs and the Beta fish and  keep the plants and water pond clean..  The team also cares for all the plants in the lab along with weekly lab clean-up chores.  

 

             Wednesday:          GARDEN TEAM 

This team provides seasonal decorations for the courtyard garden.  They are designing

 a scrapbook showing the history of the Children’s Garden.  Team members monitor the courtyard during the winter months keeping the bird feeders filled and the waterfall in the pond working.  The also help organize different class activities during the spring and fall growing season.
