Almighty and ever-living God,
We thank you for all the gifts and graces you have given us. We thank you for the countless people over the last 2000 years who have sacrificed, even to the point of giving their lives, for the sake of their faith in Jesus Christ.
We thank you for the heritage of faith that has been passed on to us in this place and time. We thank you especially for the many people who sacrificed to establish and build this parish and for all those whose efforts have passed this heritage on to us. May our stewardship of the gifts we have received honor those who passed them on to us and give glory to you, our God, from whom all gifts flow.
Continue to guide and protect our parish family. Help us to be faithful to our mission and to generously pass on what we have been given. Guide us all faithfully through this life into eternal life.
We ask this through Christ our Lord, in union with the Holy Spirit, through the intercession of those from our parish family who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith, and all of the angels and the saints.
