Title: Mary-Kate and Ashley’s The Case of the Hidden
Holiday Riddle
Author: Jean Waricha
It’s a great mystery book. It sort of tells you a lesson not to cheat for any
type of reason. It also sort of teaches you not to play tricks on other people
and to tell the truth.
Hannah B. (Grade 3)
Title: My Two Best Friends (Full House)
Author: Katie Kimball
I like this book because, first, there is a new student, and her name is Amanda
Metz. Michelle becomes her study buddy, and Mandy invites Michelle to sleep
over; so did Cassie, her other friend. Cassie found out that Michelle had slept
over at Mandy’s house, and at school Cassie did not talk to Michelle. Michelle
asked to sit by Cassie, but Cassie did not answer. If you’re looking for a good
book, this is what you are looking for.

I think you should read this book because it takes you back with Jack and Annie
to the 1500s. Will asked them to be in a play because two boys were missing
from the play. Jack has stage fright, so he said, “NO!” But Will and Annie
convinced Jack to be in the play. (Fact: Do you know why the London Bridge
song is called “London Bridge?” It’s named that because London Bridge kept
falling down and they kept building it up again.)

I think you should read this book because there is this dog and he is under a
spell. Jack and Annie have to get a gift from a ship lost at sea, a gift from
the prairie blue, a gift from a forest far away, and a gift from a kangaroo. So
they go through a book and land on a ship and that ship is the Titanic. A fact

hilarious family!

The characters were cleverly developed along with their relationships with each
other. Unlike most books about children my age, I could really relate to
Hollis. Her life was full of problems and sadness, but it was interesting to
see how she tackled them, but sometimes she made decisions for the worst. The
way the author set up the plot with flashbacks involving Hollis’ pictures was a
really good idea. I recommend reading Pictures of Hollis Woods.

fast-paced and is a great read.
