79th Annual
Garden Party

The Garden Party Committee begins setting up for the big day!

The Water Race game was new this year.

Mrs. Williamson looks like she is enjoying her time in the dunk tank.

Lauren, our two-day pass raffle winner,
takes a break from the rides.

The Bungee Run creates some competition between friends.

The BSS School Boards hosts a traditional favorite - the Cane Game.

A dunk tank draw-back --- water in the ears!

The cake and ice cream is always a hit with everyone!

The parish sell their wares while the scouts work the hot dog and Pepsi stand.

Our wonderful cooks work hard to keep up with the hungry crowd.

The music was enjoyed by all.

The school staff works at the Plinko game.

The BSS Builders Club donated Huckley the dog for a raffle.
Congratulations to the winner, Joey Huddleston.

The Men's Club hosted the Dice Game while the little men fish in the duck pond.

The festivities drowned out the sounds of tornado sirens early in the evening but we were assured that our location was safe.
However, a short time later the clouds burst and rain flooded out our party for the first time in twenty-five years.

The party goes on......
Monsignor Vann and the committee decide to continue the next day with available rides and limited games.

News releases were sent out about our change in plans.  TV-20 stopped by to film our recovery efforts.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who showed up to work the game booths!
The support of everyone who came out to help and to enjoy another night of fun was greatly appreciated.

By the end of the evening the grill sold out and the prizes disappeared.

Paul Wappel, our Garden Party chairman, evidently didn't get wet enough on Wednesday evening.

Our hard-working grounds crew tear down after another year.

But wait..... it's not over.
The 80th Annual Garden Party is only a year away and the Garden Party committee is already making plans to celebrate this milestone.
