We are excited to share the
news that Blessed Sacrament School is the recipient of a Tracy Foundation
grant. The grant has allowed us to purchase and install a weather station
and purchase teaching materials about meteorology. The network
software will allow real time weather observations from any computer in the
school using the power of technology in each classroom. The computer lab has
the software and station monitor, and the station will be linked to our
school web page soon.
The Saxon Math program at
Blessed Sacrament uses a daily math board. The weather station data can
be incorporated easily into this daily gathering. Math computation will
be enhanced through the use of daily data collection, predictions, and
comparisons.
Anne Capestrain and Wanda Tracy, both Tracy Foundation members, had children at Blessed Sacrament and were instrumental in acquiring this grant. We express our gratitude to them and to the Foundation for their interest and support.
