DAY 1

For those of you who may be interested, Jacki Alexander ran a 17.6 in the prelims which was not good enough to send her to the prelims. Katie ran a 6:01 mile in the fastest heat and we are pretty sure she has a stress fracture in her right leg. Look for her to be wearing a cast next week at school! And the good news is...................

Hailee Elmore took first place in the 1600M Run posting a time of 5:15.22. She not only broke a AA 7th grade girls record last set in 1988 but she also set a new all time girls record for the STATE of ILLINOIS!!!!!!!

How is that for a first day?

Greetings from East Peoria. I will report back here tomorrow with end of the season news!!!!

Coach JR.

DAY 2

Hailee Elmore State Champion in the girls 1600M posting a time of 5:15.22
yesterday, today at 10:30 ran the 400M and took second place. Elmore finished
the race just over the record time posting a time of 1:01.66.

Jacki Alexander ran the 800M placing 19th in a field of 45 with a time of
2:32 bettering her P.B. of 2:38. The 4X200 relay team of Pinkham, Metz,
Newell, and Elmore had a heartbreaking finish of 2:05 after having dropped
the baton on the first pass. All four girls ran their best 200M times of the
year and should be more than proud of their performance.

We look forward to taking the entire B.S.S./S.A.S. team to state next season.
All in all it was a fabulous first time experience at state. I have only one
bit of advice.  Keep those legs running.
see you next season,
coach jr :o)
