The Scholastic Bowl team traveled to Niantic on April 24, 2001, to embark on a mission - win the Regional Title. The mission proved to be rather easy. First up was Niantic Jr. High. The BSS team beat them 221-172. Next up was Edinburg where BSS won easily, 193-89. Finally, the only team in the way was Tri-City. Due to excellent 8th grade leadership, the team beat them 285-65 and thus won the Regional Crown for the first time in school history. Next up for the team is the sectionals next Monday, April 30 in Decatur at Our Lady of Lourdes.
