BLESSED SACRAMENT SCHOOL August 30, 2001 The BSS Baseball team started off its Springfield Recreation Department fall league season in great fashion with an 8-0 win over Young's Security - the Our Savior's Lutheran School team. It was great to see a large turn-out of supporting fans! Although BSS was scheduled to play Young's Security again on Thursday, Sept. 6, that game has been cancelled. Our next IESA game will be Friday, Sept. 7, at 4:15 p.m. at Calvary Academy. Then on Saturday, Sept. 8, BSS will play a doubleheader at Fairview Park. The first game will be an IESA game at 10:00 a.m. against St. Aloysius. The second game will be an SRD game at Noon against the Fairview Baseball team. The BSS Baseball team will play its last scheduled IESA game on Monday, September 10 at 4:30 p.m. against Springfield Christian at their field. The BSS team will then play in the IESA Regional Tournament for the remainder of that week. The Regional Tournament schedule has yet to be determined. The BSS Baseball team will be playing SRD games every Wednesday and Saturday from Sept. 12 - Oct. 3 at Schlitt and Fairview Parks. We will keep you advised of the schedule.
