September 14, 2001 BLESSED SACRAMENT SCHOOL Playing in a mini dust storm and falling temperatures, the BSS Baseball Team played Buffalo Tri-City in the first round of the IESA Regional Tournament. BSS fought back from an early 7-3 deficit to take the lead 9-8 in the sixth inning. But Buffalo Tri-City put on two more runs to win the game 10-9. This was the last game of the 2001 IESA season, leaving the Bruins with a 2-5 record. The BSS Baseball Team continues to play in the fall SRD league, where the Bruins have a 1-2 record. The Bruins next SRD game is September 19 at 6:00 p.m. at Schlitt Park against Little Flower. See the schedule for the remaining games. See you at the game!! |
