BSS/SAS GIRLS DIG IN AT DELAVAN

On a very chilly morning last Saturday in Delavan, the girls of BSS/SAS showcased their training and hard work this season.  This was the last regular season meet, so it was sweet to see the girls give such a strong performance, with many closing out the season with personal best times.

Setting the pace for the BSS/SAS team was 8th grade standout Julia Wykoff with a personal best time of 12:53 Wykoff received a 15th place medal at the awards ceremony following the meet.  Receiving a 24th place medal at that same ceremony was 7th grade phenomenon Jessica Megginson, who crossed the line with a personal best of 13:01.  Next was super strider Emily Delvo, scoring a personal best of 13:54, a full 30 seconds better than her previous best time.  Following Delvo were 6th grade standout Kayla Kolis (14:01), superstar Madie Alexander (14:03), consistent contributor Mackenzie Wortley (14:09), and amazing Katie Dresser (14:47).  ALL of these ladies performed their greatest races of the season and posted lowest times in their columns!

It is so fun to watch all of these girls on the team achieve personal success.  Every single one of them has gotten better as the season progressed.  Additonal notable accomplishments in Delavan were super athlete Madison Clem cutting one full minute off her previous low time, while the following gals cut a full 30 seconds off of their timesAbby Bloink, Brigid Cavanagh, Lexi Enno, Sierra Gonzalez, Lauren Lanzotti, Alexandria Maillet, and Julie Saal.  Others achieving personal bests were:  Helen Cavanagh, Danielle Hokzema, and Kelly Korza.  SUPER JOB LADIES!

BOYS SHINE AT DELAVAN

The sun was shining brightly, and so were the guys of BSS/SAS as they fought off the cold and all gave fabulous performances at Delavan last Saturday morning.  All associated with the maroon and gold were beaming with pride as these fellas ran the course.

Coming back with a vengeance was duke of distance Mike Witsman, with a personal best time of 12:07.  Second in command was Sean Ryan, also scoring a season's best, with a time of 12:12.  Next was 7th grade standout Sean Orlando (12:23), terrific trail runner Eric Delvo (12:53, a personal best), and superstar Michael Ralph (12:54).  Ralph even ran this race with both of his shoes on.  Following next were reliable runners Peter McDermott (13:00) and Griffin Ludwig (13:12), both with great runs.  McDermott cut a full 30 seconds off of his time.

Showing phenomenal improvement in Delavan were hard working Michael Schaddel, who cut a full two minutes off of his previous best time, and Joe LaFata, who decreased the time on the clock by more than one minute.  Other outstanding runners decreasing times include Ryan Butler, Brendan Cavanagh, Gabe Krukowski, and Nick RobinsonALL of whom cut more than 30 seconds off of their times.  SUPERB GENTLEMEN!
