 GIRLS STRIDE TO VICTORY

On a gorgeous afternoon this past Tuesday it was very enjoyable to watch the maroon and gold.  There are no complaints about the weather this season -- not one drop of rain on us yet.  Lincoln Park is a beautiful course to run anyway (except the big hill) so our runners really seemed to have a good time.

Kicking up some dust and crossing the line first for BSS/SAS was 7th grade duchess of distance Jessica Megginson (13:48).  Next was terrific trail runner Emily Delvo (14:56) with a personal best time.  Next was 6th grade standout Kayla Kolis (15:07), followed by diligent runners Morgan Clem (15:15), Mackenzie Wortley (15:20), Kelly Korza (15:31) and Kate Dresser (15:33), ALL of whom had personal best times at this meet.

Other amazing accomplishments include a run by Katie Loscher, who cut over one minute off of her personal best time, and a performance by Abby Bloink, who cut nearly one minute off of her previous best time.  Also going the distance and achieving individual best times of the season were Lauren Lanzotti, Kristin Grimsley, Danielle Hokzema, Julie Saal, Erin Saal, Alexandria Maillet, Christine Maillet, and Courtney McCarty.
WAY TO GO GIRLS!

It is impossible to be disappointed with a 4th place finish in this meet when so many of our runners gave outstanding performances.  These young men both met and exceeded expectations!  Leading the pack for BSS/SAS was Sean Ryan with an fantastic run and personal best time of 12:35.  Next was a great run by Sean Orlando and a personal best time of 12:47.  Following were distance moguls Michael Ralph (13:17) and Joey White (13:22) showing tremendous endurance and personal best times as well.  Consistent contributors Eric Delvo (13:59), Zach Jones (14:09) and Peter McDermott (14:12) helped round out the team score with nice runs.

Other team troopers performing personal bests at this meet were Dan Debrey, Nick Enno, Max Favero, Michael Kelly, Corbin Mapes, Nick Robinson, and Matthew WesleyKeep up the GREAT WORK fellas!

Looking forward to seeing these superstars in Olympia on Saturday!!!
