GIRLS' GIVE VALIANT EFFORT
On a gorgeous afternoon this past Tuesday it was very enjoyable to watch the
maroon and
gold. The ladies of BSS/SAS
strode to a 3rd place finish against some tough competitors.
Kicking up some dust and crossing the line first for BSS/SAS
was 7th grade standout Jessica Megginson (13:25). Next
was trail master Madie Alexander (14:09), a personal best
time. Following closely were Kayla Kolis and
Kaylee Sables, both with 14:35. Next were reliable runners
Mackenzie Wortley (14:39), Emily Delvo (14:50),
and Katie Dresser (15:10).
Other gals attaining personal best times at this meet were Brigid
Cavanagh, Molly Drake, Kelly Korza, Lauren Lanzotti, Amy
Marzalek, Courtney McCarty, and Sage McCraken.
Everyone on the entire team did a great job at this meet.
WAY TO GO GIRLS! You are lookin' good!
BOYS FINISH THIRD!
Glenwood 25, East Peoria 38, BSS/SAS 83, CTK 105
The BSS/SAS boys did a great job on this tough course on a
picture perfect Fall afternoon in Chatham. One of the most entertaining
incidents of the day was 6th grader Michael Ralph running without a shoe for
the first part of the race. Michael lost his shoe as the team took off, but
just kept running and amazingly kept up with his usual pace. Coach Cumming
retrieved the shoe from the starting line and intercepted Michael on the
course, thus allowing him to finish out the race with BOTH shoes and secure
his second best time of the season. The moral of the story is
DOUBLEKNOT BOYS and GIRLS.
Breaking the string for the BSS/SAS pack was Sean
Ryan (12:31), followed by Sean Orlando (12:47),
Michael Ralph (13:07), and Joey White
(13:11), all of whom put forth very nice efforts. Next were super striders
Griffin Ludwig (13:14), Eric Delvo and
Peter McDermott, both with 13:58.
Other team troopers performing personal bests at this meet were Ryan
Butler, Dan Debrey, Michael Kelly, Gabe Krukowski, and Joe
LaFata. FANTASTIC JOB FELLAS!!!!!
Looking forward to seeing these superstars in Delavan
tomorrow!!
