CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
Sunday Parish Appreciation Day · Coffee Klatch in gym after 8:30 and 10:30 Masses · 8th Grade Greeters/Thank You cards for Parishioners
Monday Community Appreciation Day · Mayor Davlin will lead morning announcements. · School-wide donation drive begins for Holy Family Food Pantry, Parent Help Line and Helping Hands Shelter. (Details will follow.) · BSS students may wear blue and gold to school with a donation to the above charities. · All -City Catholic Schools volleyball tournament with faculty teams. The BSS faculty will attempt to defend their title this year at the SHG West Campus. The school with the largest attendance (and that would be us last year!) wins the “spirit award”. Details will follow.
Tuesday Student Appreciation Day · “No-Tuck Tuesday”. Students may alter their uniform style by keeping shirts untucked, wearing the socks of their choice, and not wearing a belt. · 1:00 Dog Show for Pre-K through 3rd grades: “Fido and Friends”. · 2:15 Board Game/Free Time for 4th to 8th Grade · Specially designed BSS cookies for all students and faculty. · NO HOMEWORK!
Wednesday Parent Appreciation Day · Parent/Child Lunch. Parents may come and eat lunch with their BSS students in the gym. There will be a special order form for parents and students to order pizza and soda/water bottles on that day. The shifts are as follows: A-G: 11:00 – 11:30 H-P: 11:40 – 12:10 Q-Z: 12:20 - 12:50 · Parent Appreciation Night 6:30 – 8:30 Refreshments and Fun sponsored and hosted by the BSS Faculty. All parents are urged to attend.
Thursday Faith Appreciation Day · 8:20 All-School Mass. · Teachers will have potluck lunch for clergy. · Dinner gift certificates presented to clergy from PSA. · Presentation of Blessed Sacrament Student Prayer and Holy Card.
Friday Teacher Appreciation Day · 11:15 Dismissal (No B.A.S.E. provided.) · Teacher Luncheon. · BSS Day at Skateland South, 2:00 – 4:00. $3.00 admission, $2 skate rental. · Family Dance 7:00 to 9:00 in the school gym. (Details to follow).
