LANDSLIDE AT LINCOLN!

Last Tuesday on a hot & humid afternoon at Lincoln Park our BSS/SAS runners had a chance to shine against Washington and CTK, securing a decisive victory over both teams.  Both the girls' and boys' teams left the competition in the dust.....or should I say mud!

Leading the way for the ladies was prize performer JESSICA MEGGINSON (13:14), followed by wonder workers EMILY DELVO (13:32), MADDIE ALEXANDER (13:44, a personal best this season), and MACKENZIE WORTLEY (14:18).  Next were consistent contributors KAYLA KOLIS (14:32), KRISTIN GRIMSLEY (15:06), and MARIA LOWIS (also 15:06).  Rounding out our top ten in the chute were diligent runners KAYLEE SABLES (15:57, a personal best this season), MORGAN CLEM (16:00), and KELLY KORZA (16:01).

Other girls attaining person best times on this very tough course were determined runners BRIGID CAVANAGH (16:05), HELEN CAVANAGH (20:45), MADDIE CLEM (17:01), KASI KORZA (16:02), KATIE LOSCHER (17:36), and HANNAH PERRIN (18:34).  Nice job ladies!!!

Now for our gentlemen....to say our guys dominated this race would be an understatement.  It should be noted, however, that the boys ran slightly under 2 miles.  With the heavy rain Monday evening, all course markings had been washed away.  Sean Ryan led the way and turned immediately after passing the ball diamond rather than running around the tree just east of the diamond.  If the course was followed, this may have added 5 to 10 seconds to the boys' times.  Since everyone in the race did the same thing it didn't make a difference in scoring the meet.  EVEN IF we added a full 10 seconds to every boys' race time, we still would have some ABSOLUTELY AMAZING times!

Leading the way for our guys was distance veteran SEAN RYAN (11:38), followed by running machines SEAN ORLANDO (12:11), MICHAEL RALPH (12:49), and GRIFFIN LUDWIG (12:54).   Next came radical racers ERIC DELVO (13:21), MASON SWITZER (13:35), JOSH MEGGINSON (13:42) & JOEY SHOWTIS (also 13:42).    Rounding out the top 10 finishes for the boys were trailmasters BRENDAN FINNELL (13:49), MICHAEL KELLY (14:09), and ANTHONY ROCCO (14:29).  Super job to these boys and ALL of our boys!
