RADICAL IN ROCHESTER
Our BSS/SAS team performed like the
SUPERSTARS they are in Rochester Tuesday night, claiming
victory for both boys and girls teams as they breezed by their
competitors. Scoring was as follows: GIRLS: BSS/SAS 34, Petersburg 48,
Jacksonville Turner 85, Franklin Middle School 110, Athens 127, Rochester
142, and Little Flower/Cathedral 173. BOYS: BSS/SAS 40, Rochester 74,
Petersburg 81, Jacksonville Turner 91, Franklin Middle School 97, Little
Flower/Cathedral 159, Athens 210.
The weather was 70 degrees and overcast, very pleasant for
our runners. And we had some AMAZING runs! Hard worker
JARRED KINK cut over three minutes off of his
time! Also slicing their times by more than two minutes were super
striders HANNAH PERRIN, ISAAC BALES, GABE KRUKOWSKI, GLEN McCLAIN,
and CONNOR SOMMER. Other distance demons decreasing
their times by more than one minute were BRIGID CAVANAGH,
SIERRA GONZALEZ, MEREDITH McCLAIN, CALEB BOWMAN, MATTHEW LOSCHER,
and BRAD VOST. These are just the runners cutting times
by over one minute! As you can see by the complete results at the end of
this release we have many wonderful runners who improved times.
We are SO PROUD of your accomplishments.
Queen of quick JESSICA MEGGINSON (13:46)
had a great run and placed 2nd overall in the meet and led the way for our
team. JESSICA took a brief foray off course at a turn that was poorly
marked and ran a little extra distance. But she had a great workout!
Shortly thereafter came duchess of distance EMILY DELVO
(14:03) taking a 3rd place overall. Next came mega runners
MACKENZIE WORTLEY (14:35), MADDIE ALEXANDER
(14:44), KRISTIN GRIMSLEY (14:49), KAYLA KOLIS
(14:58) and KELLY KORZA (15:24). Great job girls!
Blazing the trail for the boys, though also taking a detour
off course at the same place as Jessica was determined runner SEAN
RYAN (12:04). SEAN placed 2nd in the meet overall. Wonder
runner JOEY WHITE (12:21) was not far behind and placed
4th overall. JOEY is a loyal teammate, as he sacrified his much needed
oxygen to yell at Sean several times to get back on course! Next in the
pack was the impressive SEAN ORLANDO (12:35) placing 5th
overall. Following close behind were consistent contributors ERIC
DELVO (13:16), MICHAEL RALPH (also 13:16),
magnificent MASON SWITZER (13:29) and GRIFFIN
LUDWIG (13:33) with solid runs. I know GRIFFIN reads his email
because he ran an extra lap at practice yesterday and when I complimented
him on it he said "I'm RUNNING for FUN". Go Griffin!
ENJOY the holiday weekend everyone!
