This copper sculpture  is the creation of the 7th grade art and science classes working together with Mrs. Ficke, Mrs. Harris and Mr. Terry Rossi. 

 

 This creative project began in art class with pictures drawn by each student showing symbols that  visually describe God's spirit in nature.  Then, using copper as the medium, they cut and soldered the pieces together with the expert help of Mr. Terry Rossi who taught  a variety of techniques working with copper.

 

The sculpture  beautifies our BSS Children's Courtyard Garden.  Fr. Hoefler lead a dedication with the students, teachers, and Mrs. Wear on Tuesday, May 27, 2008.
